In this article I’m going to review how you can request a de-listing from a blacklist, so that you can start to email a provider that has possibly blocked your server’s IP address.
De-listing an IP from a blacklist
When your mail server is currently listed in a blacklist, you should receive a bounce-back message stating why. You can read my article on why does email bounce, bounceback, or error for a more in-depth explanation on bounce-back messages.
Depending on the blacklist provider that has blacklisted your server’s IP address, the de-listing process would be different. Included in your email bounce-back you’ll typically also receive a link to the blacklist provider’s website that explains how to request a de-listing.
If you’re curious about why you might have to request a de-listing from a blacklist in the first place, our guide on why do mail servers get blacklisted goes into detail about this.
